Application Process

Impact100 Greater Wausau awards grants to nonprofits in our community in the focus areas of Arts & Culture, Education, Family, Health & Wellness, and Environment. Applicants may apply for a transformational gift for a project, program or expansion of a project/program. Applicants will choose a focus area depending on the goal for project and who the services will help. The amount of the gift will be announced in a member celebration event on January 7th, 2021. January 8th nonprofits and the public will be able to see the total grant amount(s). Applying for a grant starts with a preliminary application. Arts & Culture

Cultural programs, participation in the arts, arts education


Educational opportunities for children and/or adults, especially those that address lingering educational disparities affecting our community


Strengthening and enhancing the lives of children and families, including seniors

Health & Wellness

Improvement of people’s mental and/or physical well-being.


Conservation and preservation of natural resources; environmental justice; parks and recreation; agricultural sustainability; environmental education and climate action.

Eligibility Requirements
  • Defined as a tax-exempt public charity under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code
  • Serve Marathon County, WI with all funds being used within the county
  • Possess at least three full years (24 months) of prepared, audited, or reviewed financial statements
